Mission and History

Cambridge in America (CAm) advances the mission of the University of Cambridge and its thirty-one member Colleges by providing expertise in philanthropy and engagement and by growing the base of support for Collegiate Cambridge among alumni and friends in the US.

CAm's key initiatives include:

Philanthropy

Cambridge in America facilitates philanthropic gifts that help Cambridge achieve and maintain excellence in teaching and research within its unique learning environment, while ensuring access to the most able students. Cambridge in America's major gifts and planned giving programs offer opportunities for alumni, friends, and institutions to support Cambridge on a larger scale and receive tax benefits for their contributions.

Engagement

Cambridge in America strives to foster and facilitate life-long, mutually beneficial relationships with alumni, donors, volunteers, and friends of Collegiate Cambridge through programs of alumni relations, annual giving and marketing, communications, and donor relations and stewardship.

Operations and Advancement Services

The operations team provides support for all development and engagement activities by ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations and requirements, proactively implementing industry best practices, and promoting employee wellbeing.
