  • How long will the evening run?
    •  The evening begins at 7pm and will end at midnight (with a surprise!)
  • Is Cambridge in America’s May Ball similar to a Cambridge May Ball?
    • CAm's May Ball will be similar to a Cambridge May Ball though not all-night or as big in scale; however we will have several activities and multiple entertainment options happening throughout the evening — and lots of surprises!
  • Will dinner be served?
    • Tickets include open bar the entire evening, lots of hors d'oeuvres and ample buffet stations throughout the evening; there will be substantial amounts of food offered though no formal, seated dinner.
    • For May Ball 2012 Host Committee members dinner will be served in the Hauser Patron Salon.
  • Will dinner be formally seated?
    • No but lots of food and open bar will be provided.
  • Will there be places to sit down?
    • While the evening is not formally seated, during the performance featuring Rebirth Brass Band, Big Sam's Funky Nation and others, alumni will be invited into the Starr Theater where they can sit (and dance).
    • There will be other places to sit down throughout the evening.  You won’t be on your feet all night!
  • What is the dress code for the evening?
    • Black tie or College Colors
  • Can I invite friends?
    • Yes, the more the merrier.
  • What is the demographic of alumni attending?
    • We have a good mix of age/Colleges/geography right now.  There is not a predominant group expected.
  • Is there a discounted rate any local hotels?
    • A discounted room rate is available at The Empire Hotel by using the group name, Cambridge in America, when making reservations.  Rates are based on availability and expire on May 20, 2012.  More details about this hotel will be provided in the registration packet you will receive upon purchasing a ticket.
