Come back to Cambridge this fall for the 20th Alumni Weekend. This three day event attracts alumni and their guests back to Cambridge from all over the world for a stimulating program of lectures, tours and events (and just a little punting, lunching and reminiscing).
Dates: Friday, September 24 - Sunday, September 26
Booking: Booking opens on Tuesday, June 1 and will close on Friday, August 6. Book online at www.alumni.cam.ac.uk/weekend. You can download the complete program here (PDF).
The Alumni Weekend offers you access to academics at the forefront of Cambridge thinking, eminent alumni and unparalleled ‘behind the scenes’ views of the University. It is also an ideal opportunity to reconnect with friends and meet people who all share the experience of Cambridge.
Events range from tours of world-renowned University research centers, exhibitions of Persian manuscripts, art collections and archives including the the newly redisplayed Greek and Roman gallery at The Fitzwilliam Museum, opportunities to see the remarkable treasures of the University’s Herbarium and the University Library including discovering its 600 year history, special collections and famous architecture, along with tours of some of the finest buildings and gardens in Cambridge.
Whether you come on your own or bring family, friends or colleagues to share the experience with you, the Alumni Weekend offers something for all ages and interests. Why not make 2010 the year that you return to Cambridge and enjoy this unique experience for the first time?
You may chose to join us just for the lecture program on Saturday, or for all three days of events. We recommend early booking as numbers for certain events are limited, however you may take ‘pot luck’ and book on the day if you wish.
Most Colleges organize their own activities which complement the main program ensuring you have the opportunity to reconnect with the University however you choose.
You may sign up to receive a copy of the brochure from the Alumni Office or visit the website to view the full program.
Booking will open at 10am on Tuesday 1 June and will close at 5pm on Friday 6 August. Online booking is the quickest way to book and there are no additional booking fees, however if you would prefer to book by post please contact the Alumni Office to receive a booking form (to be mailed mid-May) .
