Gurnee Hart
It is with profound sadness that I share the news of the passing of Gurnee Hart — dear friend, founder of Cambridge in America, and the first chair of the Board of Directors.
Gurnee's thoughtful guidance, deep commitment to Cambridge, and creative vision laid the very cornerstone on which CAm was built. Under his watch, and in the quarter century since, the organization has grown and thrived in ways that bear his imprint still.
On a personal note, I am deeply grateful to have known him. He taught me much about tenacity, generosity, and the true meaning of friendship.
In the days ahead, we will share more about Gurnee's vast and transformative contributions — to Cambridge, to CAm, and to so many lives he touched along the way. For now, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife Marjorie, to his family, and to his many friends around the world.
He will be greatly missed.
