You are invited to join the Vice-Chancellor Professor Stephen J Toope as this year’s guest speaker at the fifth annual Kate Pretty Lecture, Homerton’s annual lecture series.

The Vice-Chancellor will be speaking on University Matters? The University of Cambridge in an increasingly complex world.

This is likely to be Professor Toope’s last major speech as Vice-Chancellor, as he steps down on September 30th to take up the post of President and CEO of the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research.

He will reflect on five years in office, and cover themes including how societal tensions are reflected in the University, relations with Government, and how the University takes decisions.

The lecture series honors Dr Kate Pretty CBE, Principal of Homerton College from 1991-2013.
